All in all, it was best base for traveling to Kyoto.

I booked The Royal Park Hotel Kyoto Umekoji for our last day in Japan and wish I had stayed here longer. We enjoyed the quiet and relaxing public bath and the helpful and friendly staff. The breakfast buffet had a nice mix of Western and Japanese dishes. The hotel's attention to detail, such as the child amenities bag and train arcade machines, made our stay even more enjoyable. Vegetarian food options nearby were a bonus.

During my stay at the Royal Park Hotel Kyoto Umekoji, I was pleased with several aspects of the experience. the room was a little more spacious than what I had expected, providing ample space for relaxation and movement. the hotel's database mentioned that the front lobby could have been better looking, but I found it to be quite pleasant and inviting. The arcade games, which were mentioned as an eyesore, did not bother me personally and did not detract from the overall fantastic ambiance.

One minor drawback I noticed during my stay was the lighting in the toilet. As mentioned in the database, it could have been improved, especially for activities such as shaving.
